Let’s discover Santorini’s long history. About 3,600 years ago, the island was the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history: the Minoan eruption.
This eruption formed the large caldera of Santorini, giving it its distinctive moon shape.
The rich and powerful settlement of Akrotiri in the south of the island was then destroyed leading to theories that Santorini is one of the possible locations for Atlantis.
By visiting the Archaeological Sites of Akrotiri, you can still see the revealed complexes of multi-level buildings, streets, and squares, all entombed in solidified ash.

Firstly, the peculiar volcanic soil of Santorini has a large water capacity leading it to absorb night moisture by feeding the fruits.
Another interesting point is the shape of the vines. For the past years, the winemakers of the region, experienced in top-quality wine production, have been practicing a special way of pruning the vines: they turn the vine around, to form a round basket in which the brunches grow so that in the one hand they are protected from the north winds and the clouds of dust sand and in the other hand they enjoy the cool microclimate during the summer period.

The Water Path
Our signature Kneipp pools are a water therapy favorite; 2 pools, uniquely shaped in the form of an “L”, one’s water is cold, and the other’s hot. With only 3.5 feet of water depth, guests are able to walk the paths with ease.
Different shaped stones that ignite reflexology points in the base of the feet line the floor of each pool.

Suggested Route
• Starting from Ammoudi we will cruise close to the caldera cliffs, Imerovigli, Skaros, Fira, Akrotiri and the Indian Rock.
• The second stop will be at the White Beach for about an hour for swimming, snorkeling.
• We continue to the Red Beach for swimming and snorkeling.
• We can make a lunch break at either Armeni or continue our visit and at Thirasia island.
The island of Thirassia is located in close proximity to Santorini and, in fact, it was once a part of it. The volcanic eruption that happened at around 1500 B.C. broke Santorini into many pieces and Thirassia emerged as one of those. Thirassia is today a virgin island, still untouched by tourism and modern lifestyle.

Destination Santorini - Daily Catamaran Sailing
One of the best ways to experience Santorini’s famous scenery is from a catamaran, sailing around the unique and magnificent caldera.
The well-equipped catamaran will stop at all the major sights including the rejuvenating Hot Springs.
To end the tour, the Andronis team will prepare a sumptuous BBQ on board accompanied by free-flowing local wines, the perfect end to a perfect day.

Our aim is to provide a pleasant tour around the Island under a friendly atmosphere in the magical world of Santorini vineyard. Working along with half of the wineries located on the island, we have planned a tour that visits daily three wineries approaching each one of them from different perspectives.
Every tour has been organized in such a way to provide general knowledge about Santorini’s vineyards, viticulture, vilification and wine pairing.

Akrotiri of Thera
The prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri on the island of Santorini (Thíra) is one of the most important sites in the Aegean.
In prehistory it was a well-connected Minoan port town, with connections to mainland Greece and as far afield as Egypt and Syria.
As the town was covered in ash following a volcanic eruption on the island, preservation of the settlement is exceptional, making this one of the most significant archaeological sites in Greece.
