Cooking lessons - Participate and learn with us
Guests at the resort are enctheaged to participate in the weekly cooking lessons, which feature traditional recipes from Crete and throughout Greece and are held at Taverna Akrogiali.
Curated by the resort’s Executive Chef, the recipe varies every week; the lesson is performed by different cooks or local experts, such as bakers preparing fresh bread, pastry chefs creating unique Cretan local delicacies, and so on.
Here at Agapi Beach, we are committed to returning to the roots, honoring the ancient heritage and the integrity of the traditional cooking methods. That’s why the focus is on traditional family recipes and local, seasonal flavors – with each ingredient maintaining its own identity.
After all, when you’ve grown the own tomatoes, made the own cheese or foraged for the own wild greens, you want to see them celebrated on the plate! The chefs make dishes that allow the mindful diner to relish every nuance of Crete’s natural flavors and goodness, complemented by a carefully chosen wine. The lesson is completely interactive – participate, take notes and taste the creations!

Kids & teens

One of the best resorts in Crete for families

Agapi Beach Resort is tailor-made for families, with plenty of opportunities for our youngest guests to laugh, play, learn and thrive. We’ll help your little ones create memories that will last long after your Crete holiday has ended.

Located by the hotel gardens near the swimming pool, the Kid’s Club is the perfect place of Crete family resorts, featuring a wide range of fun activities for children ages four to 12, and is supervised by a specially trained staff.
We also offer a Teenager’s Club, for 13- to 17-year-olds. Babysitters are available on request (a charge applies)

Activities and amenities for children and teenagers include:​

The Kid’s Club is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Watersports

Have fun with the water activities in Agapi Beach Resort in Crete

Agapi Beach Resort offers a wide selection of watersports activities for everyone in the family.
The watersports center, located on the beach outside the hotel, is open daily; take advantage of our prime beachfront location in Crete to try your hand at waterskiing, jet skiing or parasailing.
Enjoy a game of water polo with your fellow hotel guests in the pool, or sign up for a water gymnastics class with one of our qualified instructors.
The watersports center also provides SUP (Stand Up Paddling) and canoe rental free of charge for up to 30 minutes per room per day (weather permitting).
During the summer months, we offer a test diving session free of charge in the pool once a week.

In addition to direct access to Crete’s legendarily beautiful sand and surf, our resort also offers three outdoor freshwater pools. After a refreshing swim in the sparkling water, sit back and relax in the warmth of the sun, or enjoy a cool drink from our poolside bar. Kids will enjoy making a splash at the children’s padding pool, and the resort features a full calendar of fun events and activities in and around the water.
